- This Blog is maintained by the Karnataka State Fire and Emergency Services(KSFES). The posts here are mainly about the KSFES and they are picked up from the various newspapers and other periodicals. Thus in a way, it acts as a media watch by the department. We would like to know what is written about our organiation in the media and we would also like to share it. We would like to do this as we believe that this will help us in improving our performance and delivey of service to the society.

Firefighters rescue people from burning buildings and vehicles and are well trained to put out a fire. They not only are adept at putting out fires in commercial or residential places but are also trained to put out fires that spread across a large area like a forest fire or a fire caused due to terrorist bombing. Firefighters have to sometimes work for long hours at a stretch and are sometimes on duty for more than 24 hours when they are battling to put out a fire. People, thumbs up for all dedicated firefighters!!
